Biography
I have had an art practice for over 40 years. My love for making art pieces started in high school, and through my travels around the country, over a few relocations and decades, I maintained a space in my life for making things- tinkering and making art. I came to Portland, Oregon to visit a friend, and within a short time, I made it my home.
My artwork is influenced by the landscape, people, politics, and spirituality. I use my artwork to process events and situations happening around me. My studio is my refuge. It is a place of purpose, my think tank and processing center. Like a writer, I use my art to tell a story. Every image I make has a story behind it. I hope to make pieces that allow the viewer to create their own stories. I hope to bring a sense of wonder and beauty to people.
